We are a large flower grower located in Alstonville, and we are looking for a highly reliable Warehouse Worker to join our team. As a successful candidate, you will be a part of a strong, privately owned company that values job security and offers competitive rates.

We are looking for someone to work in our busy warehouse all year round. Working under the guidance of a manager, your responsibilities include understanding the end-to-end process of our operation, liaising with outdoor operations to understand the flow of perishable inventory, picking, packing, and processing orders. The goal is to increase efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities Include:

• Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)

• Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store)

• Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits

• Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization

• Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers

• Operate and preventively maintain our warehouse vehicles and equipment

Requirements:

• Good organizational and time management skills

• Ability to safely lift heavy objects

• Driver's license with reliable vehicle

• Current forklift license or previous experience preferred (we can upgrad skills/licences)

• High school degree preferred

• A good level of numeracy and literacy is required

• Flexibility to do tasks outdoors if required

This is a full-time role within our warehouse. Extra hours may be required during peak periods, such as Mother's Day, Valentine's Day, and in the lead up to Christmas.

The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of working in a warehouse and a small team. You will require a positive can-do attitude and be prepared to work different hours as needed. You must be prepared to do hands-on work, be reliable, have a strong work ethic, and the ability to problem solve.
